A RESOLUTION concerning
Correction in Fiscal Year 2023 Fees Schedule
FOR the purpose of correcting the FY 2023 Fees Schedule by reinserting a line mistakenly omitted; and generally relating to City fees.
WHEREAS, Section 6.16.050 of the City Code, requires adoption of a schedule of fees established by resolution, and that "the Mayor shall direct each department director to review the fees contained in the current fiscal year Fees Schedule for which they have responsibility for administering."; and
WHEREAS, Department of Planning and Zoning's Chief of Code Enforcement discovered a mistake in the signed copy of R-16-19, setting the fees schedule for FY 2020 and which continued in subsequent fees schedules adopted by City Council.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that the Fiscal Year 2023 Fees Schedule shall be updated by inserting in section 17.16.040 dealing with Electrical permit and inspection fees as follows: below the line "Special services (such as annual inspections, hospital operating floors, motion picture equipment, mobile homes, etc.) or other conditions not provided for in the schedule shall be charged for on the basis of time required." and above the line, "C. The following permit fees shall apply to all other work and conditions in addition to subsections A and B:" insert "If the total permit fee above exceeds the comparable fee for a new building in Schedule A, the electrician may apply the lesser fee".
