A RESOLUTION concerning
Fees Related to O-18-26 Regarding Tree Removal in the Critical Overlay District
FOR the purpose of specifying fees for tree removal permits and tree replacement in the Critical Area pursuant to O-18-26, Expanding Tree Protection and Replacement in the Critical Area Overlay District.
WHEREAS, It is the City of Annapolis' policy through the Critical Area program to maintain and expand tree canopy to minimize damage to water quality and natural habitats; and
WHEREAS, O-18-26 requires a permit to remove trees larger than five inches in diameter in the Critical Area and requires replacement of removed trees; and
WHEREAS, O-18-26 provides that the City Council shall establish tree removal permit fees and fees in lieu of planting in the annual Fees Schedule;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that the Fiscal Year 2027 Fees Schedule shall be amended by adding the following:

AND BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that the Fiscal Year 2027 Fees Schedule amendment shall take effect on the date O-18-26 takes effect.
