A RESOLUTION concerning
Waiver of Commercial Mooring Permit Fees for Annapolis Community Boating
FOR the purpose of waiving the commercial mooring permit fees ($1,920 per commercial mooring permit per year in fiscal year 2015) for Annapolis Community Boating, a local 501(c)(3) organization.
WHEREAS, Annapolis Community Boating is a local 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to making boating accessible and fun for all; and
WHEREAS, Annapolis Community Boating requests the use of two commercial moorings near the Ellen Moyer Nature Park Boating Center; and
WHEREAS, the fee for a commercial mooring permit in fiscal year 2015 is $1,920 per commercial mooring permit per year pursuant to Resolution 10-14 Amended; and
WHEREAS, Annapolis Community Boating has requested a waiver of $3,840 for two commercial mooring permits in recognition of the organization's significant contributions to the community, specifically its youth programming activities.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that the $3,840 in commercial mooring permit fees are waived for the use of two commercial moorings near the Ellen Moyer Nature Park Boating Center.
AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that the permit fee waiver shall be in effect for one year from which date that Annapolis Community Boating begins use of the commercial moorings for which the permit fees have been waived.
