A RESOLUTION concerning
Annual Statement of Performance Standards
FOR the purpose of approving annual performance statements filed by City agencies and departments.
WHEREAS, Section 2.60.010 of the Code of the City of Annapolis provides “[t]o assure that the continuance of departments, programs, boards, and commissions is necessary to serve the public interest, it is the policy of the City that the agencies and departments of the City shall be subject to procedures and performance review”; and
WHEREAS, Section 2.60.030 provides that “[e]ach agency, for itself and its activities and programs, shall file an annual statement of performance standards with the City Clerk no later than January 15th each year”; and
WHEREAS, Section 2.60.040 provides that “[t]he City Council shall conduct a public hearing with regard to each performance statement”; and
WHEREAS, Section 2.60.040 further provides that “the City Council shall review and evaluate each statement, making revisions as are deemed advisable”; and
WHEREAS, the deadline for the City Council to adopt a resolution approving the performance statement as submitted, or with revisions or modifications as are deemed advisable, is March 1, 2019.
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that the annual performance statements filed by the: Office of Environmental Policy; Human Resources Division; Management Information Technology Division; the Departments of Finance, Fire, Police, Public Works, Recreation and Parks, Transportation, and Office of Law, attached hereto, are approved.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that this resolution shall take effect from the date of its passage.
