A RESOLUTION concerning
Amendment to FY 2018 Fees Schedule
FOR the purpose of establishing a Temporary Special Class C Alcoholic Beverage License Fee for Theaters.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 6.16.050, the proposed annual budget and schedule of fees was approved by the Mayor and City Council effective July 1, 2017; and
WHEREAS, it is not economical for a club that is also a 501(c)(3) organization that presents performances in small theaters to pay the current fee; and
WHEREAS, other Maryland jurisdictions have adopted special fees for similar groups; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance 46-17 amends Section 7.12.330 of the Code of the City of Annapolis to establish a Temporary Special Class C Alcoholic Beverage License to eligible Theaters; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 30-17 establishes the fee for licenses issued pursuant to Section 7.12.330.F.
NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that the FY 2018 Fees Schedule shall be amended by adding a new category for a club that is also a charitable 501(c)(3) organization to obtain One-day Class C Theater Licenses for beer, wine and liquor for $5.00 per day for a maximum total annual amount of $100.00 for theatrical performances by live actors on a stage.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that the FY 2018 Fees Schedule shall be amended effective the date of the adoption of O-46-17.
