A RESOLUTION concerning

Comprehensive Bag Reduction - Fines

FOR                     the purpose of imposing fines concerning the prohibition of certain checkout bags.

WHEREAS,                     Ordinance 9-20 amends Chapter 10.18 of the Code of Annapolis concerning the prohibition of certain checkout bags; and

WHEREAS,                     Resolution 12-20 imposes fines for violations of Chapter 10.18.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that the following portion of the FY 2020 Fines Schedule is amended as follows:

CODE REFERENCE	DESCRIPTION	FINE FOR INITIAL OFFENSE	FINE FOR REPEAT OR CONTINUOUS VIOLATIONS
10.18.070	PROHIBITED CONDUCT  BY DEALER	$250 PER BAG	SECOND OFFENCE IN SAME 6-MONTH PERIOD/$500 PER BAG
			THIRD OFFENCE IN SAME 6-MONTH PERIOD/$1,000 PER BAG

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that this resolution shall become effective upon the adoption of Ordinance 9-20.
