RE: CDBG FY 2015 Applications and Public Hearing Monday, February 3, 2014
HAPPY NEW YEAR! I have enclosed the following documents for your information and use in preparation for the February 3, 2014 CDBG public hearing:
CDBG Projects Summary:
We received eight requests for funding totaling $288,240 for the FY 2014 CDBG round. The City has not received its FY 2015 allocation. I hope that it will be the same as last year, which was $247,000, and very close to the amount requested. I have included the following documents in your packet:
- CDBG Applications: A copy of each CDBG application the city received on December 5, 2013 by 4:30 p.m.
- Memo from City Attorney. Determination from City Attorney that describes who may vote on CDBG allocations and who must recuse themselves.
- Membership in Community Organizations: Please fill out and bring to the meeting for our files. We use these to determine any conflict of interest issues.
- Presentation Schedule for Public Hearing: We have staggered the presentations so that people do not have to spend the entire evening at the hearing.
- Presentation Guidelines: Each organization has these guidelines to use in making their presentation.
- CDBG Projects Summary: Detailed list of each project the committee will review for funding.
- Confirmation Letter to Applicants
- Selection Factors - criteria for use in selecting which projects to fund. These are from the CDBG application guidelines. HUD wants us to have a rationale or criteria for choosing projects.
Please bring this packet to the February 3 meeting. If you have any questions, please give me a call at 410-263-7961 x 7798.
