A RESOLUTION concerning
Confirmation of Human Resources and Integrated Technology Solutions Directors
FOR the purpose of confirming the appointment of Patricia Hopkins as Director of Human Resources and Brian Paquin as Director of Integrated Technology Solutions; and consenting to compensate the directors.
WHEREAS, Pursuant to Article VI, Section 2 of The Charter, the City's department directors shall be confirmed by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, On February 24, 2025, the City Council adopted CA-2-24, to recreate the Department of Human Resources and create the Department of Integrated Technology Solutions (formerly the Office of Management Information Technology), and that charter amendment when into effect on April 5, 2025; and
WHEREAS, Patricia Hopkins, formerly the Human Resources Manager, has now become the Director of Human Resources, and Brian Paquin, who was the Management Information Technology Manager, has been retitled to the Director of Integrated Technology Solutions; and
WHEREAS, The pay and benefits for Patricia Hopkins and Brian Paquin remain unchanged from the current levels adopted by the City Council on March 24, 2025, in R-54-24, the current position classification and pay plan; and
WHEREAS, Pursuant to the foregoing City Charter provision, the City Council is required to expressly consent to the confirmation of the Director of Human Resources and Director of Integrated Technology Solutions;
