A RESOLUTION concerning

Director of Transportation - Markus G. Moore

FOR the purpose of expressly confirming the appointment of Markus G. Moore as the Director of Transportation; and consenting to compensate the Director.

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 3.08.030.F of the Annapolis City Code, the appointment and initial salary of the Director of Transportation is subject to confirmation by the City Council; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Transportation position became vacant on July 8, 2021; and

WHEREAS, Tricia Hopkins, Human Resources Manager of the City of Annapolis, conducted a thorough review of Mr. Moore's qualifications and determined in her professional opinion that Mr. Moore's qualifications exceed the minimum requirements of the Annapolis Charter and that Mr. Moore, by virtue of his background, education and experience, is more than qualified to hold the position of Director of Transportation; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to the foregoing City Code provision, the City Council is required to expressly consent to the confirmation and compensation of the Director of Transportation.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that Tricia Hopkins, Human Resources Manager of the City of Annapolis, conducted a thorough review of Mr. Moore's qualifications and determined in her professional opinion that Mr. Moore's qualifications exceed the minimum requirements of the Annapolis Charter and that Mr. Moore, by virtue of his background, education, and experience, is more than qualified to hold the position of Director of Transportation.
