WHEREAS,      the City Council adopted R-28-13 on June 10, 2013 that expressed the sense of the Annapolis City Council for the Administration to move forward with negotiating a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Central Maryland Transportation & Mobility Consortium and to participate in a non-binding way with respect to the Request for Proposals; and

WHEREAS,      Howard County has provided the City of Annapolis with a proposed Memorandum of Understanding that would govern the cooperative efforts to establish an efficient and effective coordinated regional fixed-route and paratransit bus system throughout central Maryland to be branded and referred to as the "Regional Transportation Agency of Central Maryland" (or "RTA"); and

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that City staff should continue to engage with all interested jurisdictions in order to evaluate the impacts that joining the RTA would have on the City's transportation ridership and Department of Transportation employees.
