A RESOLUTION concerning
The Approval of a Community Legacy and/or a Strategic Demolition and Smart Growth Impact Fund Application (Newtowne Twenty)

FOR the purpose of approving the application and receipt of financing for Community Legacy Projects(s) and/or Strategic Demolition and Smart Growth Impact Fund Project(s) in the City of Annapolis for the Newtowne Twenty Redevelopment project, to be financed either directly by the Department of Housing and Community Development (the Department) of the State of Maryland, or through other departments or agencies of the State of Maryland.

WHEREAS, the City of Annapolis recognizes that there is a significant need for reinvestment in and revitalization of communities in the City of Annapolis; and

WHEREAS, the Department, either through the Community Legacy Program, Strategic Demolition and Smart Growth Impact Fund, or through other Programs of the Department, or in cooperation with other State departments or agencies, may provide some or all of the financing for the Newtowne Twenty redevelopment in order to assist in making it financially feasible; and

WHEREAS, the Sustainable Community is located within a priority funding area under Section 5-7B-02 of the Smart Growth Act and the completed Project will...
