Planning Commission Member Qualifications
FOR the purpose of amending the membership qualifications of the Planning Commission so that at least one member has a working knowledge in the fields of forest conservation and environmental matters.
BY amending the following portion of the Code of the City of Annapolis, 2012 Edition
Section 21.08.030
SECTION I: BE IT ESTABLISHED AND ORDAINED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that the Code of the City of Annapolis shall be amended to read as follows:
Chapter 21.08 - Decision making Bodies and Officials
21.08.030.B - Section of the City Code to be Amended.
Membership. The Planning Commission shall consist of seven residents of the City who have a demonstrated interest with regard to planning policy and with regard to land use matters and procedures of the City. AT LEAST ONE MEMBER OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION SHALL HAVE WORKING KNOWLEDGE IN THE FIELDS OF FOREST CONSERVATION AND ENVIRONMENTAL MATTERS. The members shall be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council.
SECTION II: AND BE IT FURTHER ESTABLISHED AND ORDAINED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that this Ordinance shall take effect from the date of its passage.
