A ORDINANCE concerning
Lease of City Property to George Bowling
FOR For the purpose of approving a lease between the City of Annapolis and George Bowling for the City-owned building located at 270 Defense Highway, Annapolis, Maryland; and all other related matters.
WHEREAS, the City is the fee simple owner of an improved parcel of land located at 270 Defense Highway, Annapolis, Maryland and more accurately described in a deed recorded at Liber NHG 13, folio 436 among the Land Records of Anne Arundel County; and

WHEREAS, the property is improved with a two-story residence (the "Premises") and George Bowling wishes to lease the Premises for the purpose of residential occupancy; and

WHEREAS, the City and George Bowling wish to enter into a Lease Agreement that defines their respective rights, duties, and liabilities relative to the Premises; and

WHEREAS, City Charter, Article III, Section 8 requires that leases be approved by Ordinance of the City Council.


SECTION I: BE IT ESTABLISHED AND ORDAINED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL and consistent with Article II, Section 8 of the City Charter that the lease between the City of Annapolis and George Bowling (the "Tenant"), for lease of a City-owned building located at 270 Defense Highway, Annapolis, Maryland, as more particularly described in the lease, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part of this Ordinance, for the term and rental specified in the lease, is hereby approved.
