A RESOLUTION concerning
 
Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing
 
FOR      the purpose of adopting an Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing.
 
 
WHEREAS,      the City of Annapolis, Maryland is an entitlement community under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG); and
 
WHEREAS,      in accordance with the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, each entitlement community must "affirmatively further fair housing;" and
 
WHEREAS,      in order to "affirmatively further fair housing," each entitlement community must conduct a Fair Housing Analysis, which identifies any impediments to fair housing choice; and
 
WHEREAS,      the City of Annapolis has prepared this FY 2015-2019 Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice.  
 
 
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that the FY 2015-2019 Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice for the period beginning July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2020 is hereby approved,
 
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that the City of Annapolis is committed to pursue the goals and strategies to address those impediments identified in the analysis.
