A RESOLUTION concerning

Major City Dock Special Event Parking Rules

FOR the purpose of establishing parking rules to be effective during Major City Dock Special Events.

WHEREAS, Ordinance O-16-14 established Chapter 14.18 of the Annapolis Municipal Code governing Special Events in the City; and

WHEREAS, O-16-14 abrogated parking policies for major events at City Dock previously established by the Director of Transportation; and

WHEREAS, confusion over parking policies among residents and businesses during recent major special events demonstrates that clear Special Event Rules are desirable in the vicinity of Prince George Street; and

WHEREAS, these residential blocks contain approximately the following number of parking spaces; and

WHEREAS, in adopting R-19-14 establishing initial rules for Special Events, the City Council found "Under certain conditions and by weighing the impact of events on City facilities, City resources, resident quality of life, and normal business operations, a proposed special event may be subject to additional considerations as reasonable and appropriate to reduce the impact of the proposed special event"; and
