FOR the purpose of establishing that a license for peddlers, hawkers, and itinerant merchants pursuant to Chapter 7.40 of the Annapolis City Code is not required from July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2022 for Chesapeake Marine Tours, Inc.
WHEREAS, the City has entered into a series of leases with Chesapeake Marine Tours, Inc. for the lease of certain docking spaces at the City Dock area to dock vessels and to carry on a business of operating a cruise and water taxi service of the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries from July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2022; and
WHEREAS, on July 25, 2016, the Annapolis City Council passed Ordinance 8-16 amending the requirements related to a license for peddlers, hawkers, and itinerant merchants pursuant to Chapter 7.40 of the Annapolis City Code; and
WHEREAS, a license for peddlers, hawkers, and itinerant merchants is not required pursuant to Chapter 7.40.020.A.[13][14] on those days of the year and at those places and times as are designated from time to time by resolution or ordinance of the Annapolis City Council.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that a license for peddlers, hawkers, and itinerant merchants pursuant to Chapter 7.40 of the Annapolis City Code shall not be required for the following entities, days, places and times:
