FOR the purpose of authorizing the filing of an application with the Maryland Transit Administration of the Maryland Department of Transportation for a Sections 5303, 5304, 5307, 5309, 5310, 5311, 5316, and/or 5317 grant(s) under the Federal Transit Act for a total amount of $2,661,028 ($1,870,162 for fixed route transit operations; $247,776 for ADA complementary paratransit services; $315,000 capital grant for transit vehicle maintenance; $12,878 capital grant for maintenance equipment, and $215,212 capital assistance for transit vehicle replacement).
WHEREAS, the Maryland Transit Administration is the designated recipient in Maryland for grants under the Federal Transit Act; and
WHEREAS, the Administrator of the Maryland Transit Administration of the Maryland Department of Transportation is authorized to make grants to counties and to local governments for public transportation programs or projects; and
