A RESOLUTION concerning

 

Electronic Weapons - Penalties and Fines

 

FOR                     the purpose of repealing the penalties and fines associated with possession and discharge of Electronic Weapons in the Fines Schedule.

 

WHEREAS,                     Ordinance 11-17 proposes to repeal Section 11.44.070 of the Code of the City of Annapolis concerning possession and discharge of electronic weapons; and

 

WHEREAS,                     the FY 2017 Fines Schedule authorizes the imposition of certain penalties and fines for possession and discharge of electronic weapons; and

 

WHEREAS,                     Resolution 9-17 removes the penalties and fines for possession and discharge of electronic weapons set forth in the FY 2017 Fines Schedule.

 

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that the FY 2017 Fines Schedule is amended by deleting the following:

Electronic weapons.

Not to exceed $250.00 imprisonment not exceeding 90 days or both

Not to exceed $1,000.00 imprisonment not exceeding 90 days or both

 

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that this resolution shall be effective upon the effective date of Ordinance 11-17.
