AN ORDINANCE concerning


Lease of City Property - Truxtun Park Wet Slip

FOR the purpose of authorizing a lease between the City of Annapolis and Mission BBQ Management, LLC for use of a City-owned wet slip at Truxtun Park, Annapolis, Maryland for docking vessel(s) and carrying on a business of barbeque restaurant services.

WHEREAS, the City of Annapolis is the fee simple owner of a wet slip, broadside along the western side of the City Harbormaster's Jet Docks at the Truxtun Park Fishing Pier (collectively, the "Premises"); and

WHEREAS, the Tenant desires to lease the Premises for the purpose of docking its vessel(s) and carrying on its business of barbeque restaurant services; and

WHEREAS, the parties desire to enter into this Lease that defines the rights, duties, and liabilities of the parties.

WHEREAS, the Annapolis City Council believes that the proposed lease of City property would benefit the City; and

WHEREAS, a lease setting forth details of the rental has been prepared and is considered satisfactory; and

WHEREAS, Article III, Section 8 of the Charter of the City of Annapolis requires the passage of an ordinance to authorize the lease.

NOW THEREFORE,

SECTION I: BE IT ESTABLISHED AND ORDAINED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that the proposed lease between the City of Annapolis and Mission BBQ Management, LLC, for the rental of a City-owned wet slip, broadside along the western side of the City Harbormaster's Jet Docks at the Truxtun Park Fishing Pier f...
