A RESOLUTION concerning
Tyler Heights Elementary School Renovation and
Expansion Project - Waiver of Permitting Fees
FOR the purpose of waiving City permitting fees for the Tyler Heights Elementary School renovation and expansion project.
WHEREAS, the Superintendent of Schools, George Arlotto, Ed.D., petitioned the Mayor and Alderpersons by letter dated April 11, 2018 for a resolution to be introduced and approved for the waiver of the permit and plan review fees associated with the Tyler Heights Elementary School renovation and expansion project; and
WHEREAS, Anne Arundel County Public Schools is working collaboratively with staff at the State, County and City levels to prepare for groundbreaking in FY2019 in the Tyler Heights Elementary School renovation and expansion project; and
WHEREAS, the waiver of fees for the Tyler Heights Elementary School renovation and expansion project will ensure that taxpayer funding is directly and fully invested into the revitalized facility for the public good; and
WHEREAS, Section 6.04.190.C of the Code of the City of Annapolis authorizes the City Council to waive certain fees by Resolution.
NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that there shall be a waiver of City permitting fees for the Tyler Heights Elementary School renovation and expansion project.
AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that this resolution shall take effect from the date of its passage.
