A RESOLUTION concerning

Civil Service Positions and Classifications - Risk Management Administrator

FOR the purpose of abolishing the Risk Analyst position and classification from the FY 2019 civil service positions and classifications; and creating the Risk Management Administrator position and classification.

WHEREAS, Section 3.12.020A of the City Code states that the City Council shall "in conjunction with the adoption of the annual operating budget and whenever deemed necessary, consider the recommendations of the Civil Service Board;" and

WHEREAS, Section 3-12.050A of the City Code states that the Civil Service Board shall be responsible for approving the classification and minimum qualifications for all civil service positions upon the recommendation of the Human Resources Manager; and

WHEREAS, The Human Resources Manager recommended, and the Civil Service Board approved, the classification and minimum qualifications for the Risk Management Administrator position;


NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that the FY 2019 civil service positions and classifications are hereby amended to abolish the Risk Analyst position and classification, and to create the Risk Management Administrator position and classification.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that the amended FY 2019 civil service positions and classifications are adopted as attached.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that this Resolution shall take effect upon its passage.
