A RESOLUTION concerning

2020 Annapolis Film Festival - Circulator Fee Waiver

FOR the purpose identifying the 2020 Annapolis Film Festival Special Event that will be held during March 26-29, 2020; and waiving the fee for running the circulator during that event.

WHEREAS, from March 26-29, 2020, the City of Annapolis will entertain the 8th Annual Film Festival in the Arts District of Annapolis, Maryland; and

WHEREAS, the 2020 Annapolis Film Festival Special Event is expected to welcome over 17,000 participants and attendees from different parts of the country and the world, bringing much needed commercial stimulus to the businesses located within the City as well as tremendous enjoyment to residents and visitors; and

WHEREAS, enthusiastic film connoisseurs will experience a cinematic immersion, mingling with filmmakers and industry guests, they also will enjoy the colonial ambience and can take advantage of the intimacy and walkability of the Festival, located within the City's historic district and downtown Arts and Entertainment District; and

WHEREAS, the Annapolis Film Festival theme is Focus Forward, and is the largest and most diverse arts event in Annapolis offering five showcases of independent films that embrace diversity; and

WHEREAS, the Annapolis Film Festival desires to provide transportation for its patrons using the circulator on routes other than the established routes for which the City will incur additional cost, and
