A RESOLUTION concerning

Five-Year Consolidated Housing and Community Development Strategic Plan

FOR the purpose of adopting a Five-Year Consolidated Housing and Community Development Strategic Plan for the period beginning July 1, 2020, through June 30, 2025.

WHEREAS, the City of Annapolis has prepared a Five-Year Consolidated Housing and Community Development Strategic Plan to implement the Community Development Block Grant Program which funds housing and community development activities within the municipality; and

WHEREAS, this document represents a five-year strategy covering the period beginning July 1, 2020, through June 30, 2025; and

WHEREAS, under the Consolidated Plan regulations, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires that local jurisdictions develop a comprehensive vision that aims to develop viable urban communities by providing decent housing, a suitable living environment, and economic opportunities, principally for persons of low and moderate-income levels; and

WHEREAS, to meet HUD requirements to participate in the Community Development Block Grant Program, it is necessary for the City of Annapolis to adopt this Consolidated Plan.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that the City of Annapolis adopts the Five-Year Consolidated Housing and Community Development Strategic Plan for the period beginning July 1, 2020, through June 30, 2025, and commits itself to pursue the goals for all housing, community development, and planning programs.
