A RESOLUTION concerning

 

Deputy City Manager for Resilience and Sustainability - Jacqueline S. Guild

 

FOR                     the purpose of expressly confirming the appointment of Jacqueline S. Guild as Deputy City Manager for Resilience and Sustainability; and consenting to compensate the Deputy City Manager for Resilience and Sustainability.

 

WHEREAS,                      the Annapolis Charter, Article VI, Section 2A(b), provides that “[t]he Deputy City Manager for Resilience and Sustainability shall be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council”; and

 

WHEREAS,                     the Annapolis City Code, Section 3.08.030F.1(xi) provides that the appointment and initial salary for the Deputy City Manager for Resilience and Sustainability is subject to confirmation by the City Council; and

 

WHEREAS,                     the Deputy City Manager for Resilience and Sustainability position is currently vacant; and

 

WHEREAS,                     the education, training and experience of Jacqueline S. Guild exceeds the minimum qualifications required for the Deputy City Manager for Resilience and Sustainability position; and

 

WHEREAS,                     pursuant to the foregoing Annapolis Charter and City Code provisions, the City Council is required to expressly consent to the confirmation and compensation of the Deputy City Manager for Resilience and Sustainability.

 

NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that the City Council expressly confirms the appointment of Jacqueline S. Guild to the position of Deputy City Manager for Resilience and Sustainability and consents to compensate Jacqueline S. Guild as Deputy City Manager for Resilience and Sustainability in the amount of $146,117 per annum.
