A RESOLUTION concerning

Chesapeake Bay Trust (CBT)/Anne Arundel County and City of Annapolis Watershed Restoration Grant Program Permit Fees Waiver

FOR the purpose of waiving the permit fees in connection with CBT Watershed Restoration Grant Program projects.

WHEREAS, the CBT/Anne Arundel County and City of Annapolis Watershed Restoration Grant Program funds projects that reduce pollutants flowing into local waterways and the Chesapeake Bay; and

WHEREAS, the City of Annapolis has partnered with the CBT and Anne Arundel County to provide technical reviews and funding for high-quality projects that will reduce storm flow volume and pollutants in line with the TMDL goals for runoff entering the Chesapeake Bay; and

WHEREAS, the Watershed Restoration Grant Program is administered by the CBT, funded by the City's Watershed Restoration Fund and assists the City with meeting its MS4 Permit requirements; and

WHEREAS, the Watershed Restoration Grant Program funds some restoration projects that may require City grading permit and site design review fees; and

WHEREAS, it is felt to be in the City's best interests to assist the CBTs efforts by waiving any permit fees associated with CBT administered Watershed Restoration Grant Program projects that benefit the City of Annapolis; and

WHEREAS, the applicable laws and regulations of the City of Annapolis require approval by the City Council for a waiver of permit fees.

NOW THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that the City of Annapolis hereby waives all permit fees in connection...
