A RESOLUTION concerning

 

Annual Statement of Performance Standards

 

FOR                     the purpose of approving annual performance statements filed by City agencies and departments.

 

WHEREAS,                     The City of Annapolis code requires annual performance reviews from City agencies and departments, per Title 2 § 60, “To assure that the continuance of departments, programs, boards, and commissions is necessary to serve the public interest, it is the policy of the City that the agencies and departments of the City shall be subject to procedures and performance review” (§ 2.60.010); and

 

WHEREAS,                     Section 2.60.030 provides that “[e]ach agency, for itself and its activities and programs, shall file an annual statement of performance standards with the City Clerk no later than January 15th each year”; and

 

WHEREAS,                     Section 2.60.040 provides that “[t]he City Council shall conduct a public hearing with regard to each performance statement”; and

 

WHEREAS,                     Section 2.60.040 further provides that “the City Council shall review and evaluate each statement, making revisions as are deemed advisable”; and

 

WHEREAS,                     Section 2.60.040 requires that “The City Council shall adopt a resolution no later than March 1 approving the performance statements as submitted or with revisions or modifications as are deemed advisable”;

 

WHEREAS,                     Due to unforeseen circumstances, that date for adoption can’t be met and a new date must be established.

 

 

 

NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that in 2023 the City Council shall adopt the annual performance statements not later than the second meeting of March.

 

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that the annual performance statements filed by the: Office of Environmental Policy; Office of Human Resources; Office of Management Information Technology; the Departments of Emergency Management, Finance, Fire, Planning and Zoning, Police, Public Works, Recreation and Parks, Transportation, and Office of Law, attached hereto, are approved.

 

AND BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that this resolution shall take effect from the date of its passage.
