Alderwoman O'Neill moved to amend the agenda move O-32-24 to the top and

Seconded. CARRIED on voice vote.

General Discussion  
Annapolis Police Department Update (APD)  
Chief of Police Jackson, Captain Miguez, Operational Captain Howard were  
present to answer questions from the committee.  
Alderwoman Pindell Charles requested OEM director provide an update on the  
meeting with the Crime Alert vendor at our March meeting.  
Office of Emergency Management Update (OEM)  
Alderwoman Finlayson and Chief of Emergency Management Simmons was  
present to answer questions from the committee.  
Annapolis Fire Department Update (AFD)  
Alderwoman Finlayson and Deputy Fire Chief Powell was present to answer  
questions from the committee.  
Legislation  
Fire Sprinkler System Requirement Clarification - For the purpose of clarifying  
that the fire sprinkler systems requirements of ยง 17.20.120(A) and when the  
requirement goes into effect; updating subsections B through D to comply with current  
national standards; reformatting the section; and generally dealing with City fire  
sprinkler requirements.  
Assistant City Attorney Berger, Deputy Powell and Fire Marshall Chuck were  
present to answer questions.  
Amendment #1- Alderwoman O'Neill moved to recommend Amendment #1  
favorably. Seconded. CARRIED on voice vote.  
Alderwoman O'Neill moved to recommend O-32-24 favorably as amended.  
Seconded. CARRIED on voice vote.  
Adjournment  
Upon motion duly made, seconded and adopted, the Special Meeting was  
adjourned at 7:47 pm.
