A RESOLUTION concerning

Update of Fiscal Year 2027 City Fees

 

FOR                     the purpose of updating the Fiscal Year 2027 Fees Schedule for City-owned parking facilities and metered spaces, rental operating licenses, moorings, and alcoholic beverage licenses and permits.

 

WHEREAS,                      The Code of the City of Annapolis authorizes the City Council to set certain fees by resolution, including fees for City-owned parking facilities and metered spaces, rental operating licenses, moorings, and alcoholic beverage licenses and permits; and

 

WHEREAS,                      The City periodically reviews these fees to ensure they remain consistent with the cost of providing and maintaining the associated services and facilities;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that the Fiscal Year 2027 Fees Schedule shall be updated with the following changes:

PARKING FEES

Per the City Charter, article VI, section 2B(e)(7), the City Manager or the City Manager's designee may adjust parking rates in City-owned parking garages and parking lots to the extent permitted pursuant to 12.04.040 A.6§12.04.040(A)(6) of the City Code. Section 12.04.040 A.6§12.04.040(A)(6) provides that parking should be priced according to demand, i.e., that parking spaces in the highest demand should be priced at the highest rate.
