A RESOLUTION concerning
Fiscal Year 2027 Annual Statement of Performance Standards
FOR the purpose of approving annual performance statements filed by City agencies and departments.
WHEREAS, The Charter and City of Annapolis require annual performance reviews from City agencies and departments, "[t]o ensure that the continuance of agencies, departments and programs, is necessary to serve the public interest, it is the policy of the City that the agencies and departments of the City shall be subject to procedures and performance review." (§ 2.60.010); and
WHEREAS, Section 2.60.030 provides that "[e]ach agency and department, for itself and its activities and programs, shall file an annual statement of performance standards with the City Clerk no later than January 15th each year"; and
WHEREAS, Section 2.60.040 provides that "[t]he City Council shall conduct a public hearing with regard to each performance statement"; and
WHEREAS, Section 2.60.040 further provides that "[t]he City Council shall review and evaluate each statement, making revisions as are deemed advisable"; and
WHEREAS, Section 2.60.040 requires that "[t]The City Council shall adopt a resolution no later than March 1 approving the performance statements as submitted or with revisions or modifications as are deemed advisable".
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that the annual performance statements filed by the Departments of Central Services, Emergency Management, Finance, Fire, Human Resources, Integrated Technology Solutions, Planning and Zoning, Police, Public Works, Recreation and Parks, Transportation, and Office of Law, and the Office of the City Manager, attached hereto, are approved.
AND BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that this resolution shall take effect upon adoption.
