A RESOLUTION concerning
Emergency Meeting Memorandum of Understanding
FOR the purpose of approving an Emergency Meeting Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Public Schools for use of certain County property in the event of an emergency.
WHEREAS, AACPS owns and operates the Administration Building and surrounding parking lot at 2644 Riva Road in Anne Arundel County (“Administration Building”); and
WHEREAS, the City desires to use a large conference room in the Administration Building to serve as an emergency meeting place for the Annapolis City Council; and
WHEREAS, the parties agree that public benefits will be derived by the ability of the City Council to convene during an emergency or disaster.
NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that the Emergency Meeting Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Public Schools, attached hereto and made a part of this Resolution, is hereby approved.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that this resolution shall take effect from the date of its passage.
