A RESOLUTION concerning
Robert H. Eades
FOR the purpose of remembering Robert H. Eades and his contributions to the community; and renaming the College Creek Park at Clay Street and College Creek in his honor.
WHEREAS, Robert H. Eades was born, raised, and lived his entire life in the City of Annapolis;
WHEREAS, he was born on August 14, 1956 and died on August 3, 2020 at the age of 63;
WHEREAS, he was an extraordinary father to his six children as evidenced by his being named "Father of the Year" by the First Baptist Church of Annapolis;
WHEREAS, after starting down the wrong path in life, he changed himself by pursuing his life goals through helping others;
WHEREAS, he spent most of his adult life being the proverbial conscience of the underprivileged community in Annapolis;
WHEREAS, he was known for always sticking up for the underdog;
WHEREAS, he became a business owner (Neet-N-Clean Taxi Co.) and was an eloquent advocate for the taxi cab industry in Annapolis;
WHEREAS, he was an outspoken advocate for the youth of our community, particularly the underprivileged-minority youth;
WHEREAS, he frequently arranged for young people to attend community and sporting events without cost to them while chaperoning them at a great cost to himself in terms of time and money;
WHEREAS, he delivered food to the needy and frequently advocated for them before the City Council and other groups;
WHEREAS, he did everything within his power to positively influence the youth and the underprivileged of our community;
