A RESOLUTION concerning
Budget Process for Fiscal Year 2022
FOR the purpose of approving a timeline for the Fiscal Year 2022 budget development and approval process.
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to approve the following timeline for the Fiscal Year 2022 budget development and approval process:
October 2020 City Council Retreat to discuss Departmental and City Council member budget priorities for Fiscal Year 2022.
April 12, 2021 Mayor's Budget for Fiscal Year 2022 introduced at Regular City Council Meeting.
April 15, 2021 City Council Work Session - budget overview and detailed review of the City Council budget binder by City Manager and Finance Director.
April 16 -
May 8, 2021 Finance Committee budget hearings and deliberation.
May 10, 2021 Finance Committee budget report due at Regular City Council Meeting.
May 17, 2021 Due date for budget amendment ideas and recommendation from City Council members to the Finance Department. Budget changes and amendments will not be accepted after this date.
May 27, 2021 City Council Work Session to discuss budget amendments created by the Finance Department from the ideas and recommendations submitted by the City Council members.
June 7, 2021 Full day (starting at 10:00 AM) Special City Council Meeting for budget discussion and deliberations.
June 14, 2021 Regular City Council Meeting - Approval of Budget for Fiscal Year 2022.
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that the foregoing timeline for the Fiscal Year 2022 budget development and approval process is hereby approved.
