Filing of Grant Application with the Maryland Transit Administration

FOR the purpose of authorizing the filing of an application with the Maryland Transit Administration of the Maryland Department of Transportation for a Sections 5303, 5304, 5307, 5309, 5310, 5311, 5316, and/or 5317 grant(s) under the Federal Transit Act for a total amount of $3,039,471 (consisting of $1,915,980 for fixed route transit operations; $241,002 for ADA complementary paratransit services; $410,801 capital grant for transit vehicle maintenance; $462,510 capital assistance for replacement of two (2) transit buses and $9,178 for break/training room furniture).


WHEREAS, the Maryland Transit Administration is the designated recipient in Maryland for grants under the Federal Transit Act; and

WHEREAS, the Administrator of the Maryland Transit Administration of the Maryland Department of Transportation is authorized to make grants to counties and to local governments for public transportation programs or projects; and

WHEREAS, the contract for financial assistance will impose certain obligations upon the applicant, including the provision by it of the local share of the project costs in the program; and
