A RESOLUTION concerning
Personnel Rules and Regulations
FOR the purpose of approving updated and modified Rules and Regulations of the Personnel System.
WHEREAS, the Civil Service Board of the City of Annapolis has produced updated and modified Rules and Regulations of the Personnel System; and
WHEREAS, those updated and modified Rules and Regulations were submitted to the City Council for its review pursuant to Section 3.12.030E of the Annapolis City Code; and
WHEREAS, Section 3.12.030E of the Annapolis City Code prohibits the adoption and promulgation of rules and regulations governing personnel matters which are inconsistent with the provisions of Title 3; and
WHEREAS, effective implementation of the updated and modified Rules and Regulations of the Personnel System requires the repeal of any inconsistent provisions of Title 3, which must be accomplished by ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the adoption of O-31-15 and R-17-15 will eliminate any potential inconsistencies between the revised Title 3 and the updated and modified Rules and Regulations of the Personnel System.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that the updated and modified Rules and Regulations of the Personnel System are hereby approved.
